Wines of the Month:

Block Nine Pinot Noir

Winemaker Notes:  This California 2011 vintage is beautifully long and rich in ripe cherry and berry flavors.  The aromas exhibit generous fruit with a mix of strawberry, violets, plum, tea, and a hint of clove.  Flavorful and silky in the mouth with good body, this wine is seductive showing wild cherries and a hint of sandalwood to complete its complex finish.

Domaine Lafage Novellum Chardonnay

Winemaker Notes:  This 2011 vintage is from Des Cotes Catalanes, France.  The wine is unique in its aging method as it is aged on the lees of previously fermented Viognier for three months resulting in a floral character that’s different from just about any Chardonnay. This crisp, fresh, medium-bodied wine exhibits lots of earthy characteristics.  Awarded 90 points by The Wine Advocate.

Dec. Special: $13.95 per bottle or 2 for $25.90

Pasta of the Month:

Smoked Mozzarella, mushroom and prosciutto in a red pepper pasta – a perfect complement to any meal, each bite is a flavorful sensation.  Serve with a marinara sauce.

Pkg. of 8   $7.95

Cheese of the Month:

Nufenen (NOO-fe-nen)

From the southern canton of Grisons in Switzerland, the village dairy of Sennerei Nufenen is supplied by a cooperative of 22 bio-farmers. This semi-hard cow’s milk cheese has the aroma of buttery biscuits and sweet fatty milkiness with a supple paste showing tiny eyes.  The rind, though well washed thoroughly for 6 months, uses only a trace of b. linens found naturally in the caves, allowing the paste’s sweetness to be fully appreciated.  This is a unique cheese and is truly something different to serve to your holiday guests.

December Special @ $19.95/lb.
