Wine of the Month:

Cotton Wood Creek 2010 CA White Table Wine made with Organic Grapes
Winemaker Notes: Fresh fruit with hints of pear and peaches fill the air with this light color organic white wine. Rich fruit aromas abound on the palate as the wine finishes with a slightly sweet flavor that is perfect for any occasion. Pairing: pasta, shellfish, pork, cheese, and poultry.

CA Red Table Wine made with Organic Grapes
Winemaker Notes: This is a classic red wine, dark ruby in color, with the fragrance of fresh fruit and hints of berries. Pairs well with seafood, cheese, pasta, ham, beef, spicy foods and lamb.

Cheese of the Month:

Monterey Jack with Jalapeno Pepper
This cheese is well known for “fitting the bill” and “packing a punch” with slivers of jalapeno pepper sprinkled in. It is an obvious choice for nachos,Tex-Mex, Southwestern dishes, omelets, quesadillas, snacking with crackers, adding a spicy touch to your hamburgers, sandwiches and topping off your favorite chili.

Stonewall Kitchen Recipe

Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt with Caramel Sauce
This dark chocolate sauce is enhanced with sea salt and finished with a creamy caramel. The unexpected combination of savory and sweet is perfect alone with ice cream or pieces of fruit. Add a little to your favorite brownie mix for extra moist chocolate flavor, or “frost” shortbread cookies and serve on a lovely dish for an easy Mother’s Day Dessert. 12oz $6.95

Chocolate Semifreddo

Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream

¼ cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla

12oz SK Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Sauce

  1. Whip heavy cream in a chilled mixing bowl with a whisk attachment until soft peaks form.
  2. Slowly add sugar and vanilla.
  3. Fold in the Sauce.
  4. Place in freezer in a covered container for at least 6 hours.
  5. Best if used within 3-4 days as a special warm weather ice-cream dessert.
